Winter storms brought snow and ice to a large portion of the U.S. Midwest and Northeast. The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA’s Terra satellite acquired top image on January 13, 2015. NASA’s Aqua satellite acquired the bottom image on January 10, 2015.
