ROSES-25: D.6 APRA and D.7 SAT TBD Placeholders; Plan to Solicit in ROSES-25

12 February 2026

ROSES-25 Opportunity D.6 Astrophysics Research and Analysis Program (APRA) solicits basic research proposals for investigations that are relevant to NASA's programs in astronomy and astrophysics and includes research over the entire range of photons, gravitational waves, and particle astrophysics.

D.7 Strategic Astrophysics Technology (SAT) is designed to support the maturation of key technologies for which feasibility has already been demonstrated – i.e., technology readiness level (TRL) 3, for potential infusion in spaceflight missions (TRL 6).

ROSES-2025 Amendment 46. Due to the delay in release of ROSES-26, NASA’s Astrophysics Division intends to solicit proposals for both APRA and SAT program elements in ROSES-25, with an anticipated due date in late spring. TBD placeholder text has been posted on the NSPIRES pages for APRA and SAT, respectively.

Please direct questions concerning APRA to David C. Morris at David.C.Morris@nasa.gov. Direct questions concerning SAT to Dominic Benford at Dominic.Benford@nasa.gov.
