This is a extremely short, very subjective list of papers on gamma-ray bursts, including just one work by each debate program participant. This list may help a casual reader become more acquainted with the activity and past views of these participants.
A much more complete list of GRB literature was compiled by Kevin Hurley and is also obtainable through the Compton Gamma-Ray Observatory Science Support Center. A list of over 100 GRB progenitor models all published in the refereed literature is also on-line.

Possibly the best way to review the current situation in understanding gamma-ray bursts is to peruse the proceedings of the "Second BATSE Workshop" where inferences drawn from the latest data from the Compton Gamma-Ray Observatory's Burst and Transient Source Experiment (BATSE) were hotly debated.
