The AAS High Energy Astrophysics Division (HEAD) Executive Committee has extended to 15 October 2026 its deadline for nominations for the following HEAD Awards:

• The Bruno Rossi Prize 
• The Distinguished Career Prize
• The Mid-Career Prize
• The Early-Career Prize 
• The Dissertation Prize
• The Innovation Prize 

We strongly encourage you to nominate your deserving colleagues. Self-nominations are allowed for all prizes except the Rossi and Dissertation Prizes. We especially encourage PhD advisors to submit nominations for the Dissertation Prize.

Information on these prizes and the requirements for nominations, along with a list of past winners, is available on the HEAD Awards Page. Each award’s nomination form can also be found on that award’s own webpage, accessed from the main awards page.

Please note that due to the time between HEAD 22 and HEAD 23 exceeding 18 months, we are accepting nominees for each time-restricted prize with respect to the solicitation year rather than the year the prize will be awarded, e.g., the Early Career prize has a cutoff PhD year of 2016 rather than 2017.
