Reminder: LISA Science Gaps 2026: Open for Community Input Until 16 September 2026

Every two years, NASA solicits proposals for the LISA Preparatory Science (LPS) program through NASA ROSES to support U.S. investigators, and the next LPS proposal opportunity is anticipated for the upcoming ROSES 2026 release. The NASA LISA Project Office works with the NASA PhysCOS program to maintain a list of LISA “science gaps” - areas of investigation requiring further work to fully realize LISA’s science capabilities. We are seeking community input to update these gaps for the upcoming ROSES 2026 solicitation, with a particular focus on addressing the critical needs of the NASA Science Ground Segment (NSGS).   

Please review the last iteration of the LISA Science Gaps [PDF] and then kindly respond to the LISA Science Gaps Google form. Inputs should be received no later than 16 September 2026.
