The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA’s Aqua satellite acquired this natural-color image of the Camp Fire on November 12, 2018. The fire started on November 8 and has become the deadliest in California history. More than 5,000 firefighters were battling the blaze, which was 30 percent contained as of November 13, 2018.
