This Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) image from July 20, 2003, shows Super Typhoon Imbudo engulfing the Philippines (left edge). The storm was moving northwest toward China, and on July 21, had sustained winds of 150 mph, with gusts up to 184.
