Typhoon Neoguri

The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA’s Aqua satellite captured this view of Typhoon Neoguri at 2 p.m. local time (0500 Universal Time) on July 8, 2014. The Joint Typhoon Warning Center reported one hour after the MODIS image (0600 UTC) that the storm had sustained winds of approximately 110 knots (130 miles or 200 kilometers per hour), a category 3 typhoon. It was centered at 26.50° North latitude and 125.80° East longitude.
