The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA's Aqua satellite acquired this natural-color image of Typhoon Phanfone at 1:55 p.m. Japan Standard Time (4:55 a.m. Universal Time) on October 5, the day before making landfall.
