Mariner 10's First Image of Mercury

NASA's Mariner 10 spacecraft took its first image of Mercury on March 24, 1974. This picture was taken from a distance of 3,340,000 miles (5,380,000 km) from the surface of Mercury. Mariner 10 was the first spacecraft sent to Mercury.
