The bottom of the image is black, a horizontal layer of color is seen in the image center. The color, from bottom up is red and orange, then white, giving way to a wide light blue color that fades into the black of space. The orange is labeled troposphere, white stratosphere, and blue upper atmosphere. The moon is also visible above the image center and includes a labeled halo around the bottom right edge of the moon.
