FLARE

Flammability Limits At Reduced-g Experiment

active Mission
Female astronaut next to an open circular area onboard the International Space Station with red tubes and other mechanics inside.

FLARE is a research program to study the differences in flammability of electrical wires, harnesses and other materials in microgravity as opposed to Earth gravity. This will improve fire safety during space travel and future Moon or planetary exploration.
