In this image, engineers in a clean room at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, in Southern California, lower Europa Clipper’s power control and distribution assembly (PCDA) into the spacecraft’s electronics vault, which will shield much of the spacecraft’s electronics from the damaging particle radiation surrounding Jupiter. The PCDA will manage and route electricity from the spacecraft’s solar panels to the spacecraft’s propulsion system, computers, science instruments, communications system, and all other electrical hardware.
