Amendment 36: E.8 Physical Sciences Informatics Final Text and Due Dates Released

This E.8 Physical Sciences Informatics (PSI) program element solicits ground-based research in all six research areas of the PSI system: 1) Biophysics, 2) Combustion Science, 3) Complex Fluids, 4) Fluid Physics, 5) Fundamental Physics, and 6) Materials Science. The proposals must present a compelling case of how the experimental data from the PSI system (https://www.nasa.gov/PSI) will be used to promote the advancement of further research. Proposals must be responsive to the high-priority research areas identified in the 2011 Decadal Survey report "Recapturing a Future for Space Exploration: Life and Physical Sciences Research for a New Era".

ROSES-2021 Amendment 36 releases final text and due dates for E.8 Physical Sciences Informatics (PSI), which was previously listed as "TBD" in Tables 2 and 3 of ROSES. Optional notices of intent to propose are requested by October 29, 2021, and the due date for proposals is January 10, 2022.

On or about September 15, 2021, this Amendment to the NASA Research Announcement "Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences (ROSES) 2021" (NNH21ZDA001N) will be posted on the NASA research opportunity homepage at https://solicitation.nasaprs.com/ROSES2021.

Questions concerning E.8 PSI may be directed to Francis Chiaramonte at Francis.p.chiaramonte@nasa.gov and BPS-PhysicalSciences@nasaprs.com
