ROSES-2021 D.15 Pioneers ‘No Earlier Than’ Dates Announced
The Astrophysics division intends to solicit proposals for "Pioneers" via ROSES-2021 program element D.15. "Pioneers" are Astrophysics space and sub-orbital science investigations greater in cost, scope and capability than possible via Astrophysics Research and Analysis (APRA, D.3 of ROSES), but smaller than Astrophysics Explorers Missions of Opportunity. It is anticipated that "Pioneers" platforms will include CubeSats (including constellations), SmallSats, Major Balloon Missions, and International Space Station (ISS)-attached payloads.
Although ROSES-2021 program element D.15 Astrophysics Pioneers is still TBD, the Astrophysics division has announced that mandatory NOIs for D.15 Pioneers will be due no earlier than January 20, 2022, and proposals will be due no earlier than March 10, 2022. The final text and due dates will be released in NSPIRES as an Amendment to ROSES no fewer than 90 days prior to the full proposal due date.
Questions regarding D.15 Astrophysics Pioneers and/or this announcement may be directed to Michael Garcia at michael.r.garcia@nasa.gov.
