Sol 0060: Mast-Mounted Navigation Camera, Cylindrical Projection

NASA's Mars rover Curiosity took 36 image pairs in Gale Crater using its mast-mounted Navigation Camera (Navcam) to create this mosaic. The seam-corrected mosaic provides a 360-degree cylindrical perspective projection panorama of the Martian surface suitable for stereo viewing, centered at 243 degrees azimuth (measured clockwise from north). This anaglyph must be viewed with red/blue glasses (red over left eye).  Curiosity took the images on October 06, 2012, Sols 59-60 of the Mars Science Laboratory mission at drive 104, site number 5. The local mean solar time for the image exposures was from 2 PM to 12 PM. Each Navcam image has a 45-degree field of view. CREDIT: NASA/JPL-Caltech
