Team Mission

Challenger Center is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization that inspires, engages, and prepares today’s students for the future through innovative, K-12 science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education programs. With our global network of more than 40 Challenger Learning Centers and our digital programs, we give more than 250,000 students each year the opportunity to become scientists, engineers, and innovators and to work together on inspiring missions like finding life on Mars or preserving ocean species. Through our programs, students apply STEM concepts in the context of real-world challenges; they are exposed to a range of STEM careers; and they practice essential skills like teamwork, communication, and problem solving.

For more than 30 years, June Scobee Rodgers has provided so many words of inspiration that it’s simply impossible to choose just one. It is the commitment to inspiring millions of students, just like the crew of the teacher in space mission did, that excites and drives the entire Challenger Center organization.

What does your team hope to achieve?

Today’s students are tomorrow’s innovators. Challenger Center seeks to ignite their potential. Through our simulation-based STEM education experiences, we open kids’ eyes to new skills and ideas that can prepare them for success in their careers and lives — and spark a passion for learning that lasts a lifetime.
