Caldwell 46: Amateur vs Hubble Image
This image features the reflection nebula Caldwell 46, located 2,500 light-years away in the constellation Monocerotis. This fan-shaped cloud of gas and dust shines by the light of a bright star at the bottom end of the nebula. The amateur image was taken with an 8-inch Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope using a 0.63 focal reducer and a DSLR Camera.
