STAR: Space Telescope Augmented Reality

The STAR (Space Telescope Augmented Reality) application is a mobile app that allows you to learn about three space telescope missions serviced by the Space Telescope Science Institute for NASA: the Hubble Space Telescope, the James Webb Space Telescope, and the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope.

You can select each mission, learn about the telescopes, and view the telescopes in both 3D and augmented reality. Augmented reality allows you to place each space telescope into your own environment to explore and share.

  1. Application: Free download from the Mac App Store
  2. Compatible mobile device

(Download files on this page provide screenshots from the application for reference. It is not necessary to download these files in order to use the application.)
