X-Ray Science Analysis Group Interest Form June 30th, 2024

18 June 2024

Hello X-Ray community,

We are following up on our request for you to indicate interest in a Science Analysis Group to address the impact of a loss of X-Ray Flagship science. Thanks to those of you who have already filled it out!

We are in the process of getting together the Terms of Reference to present to the APAC this summer, and we would like to identify likely chairs and co-chairs and involve them in this process.

If you are interested, please fill out the form by the end of June. It should take less than 30 seconds.

Your XR SIG co-chairs,
Chien-Ting, Brian, Kristin, and Dave

An illustration of Sun-like star HD 181327 and its surrounding debris disk. The star is at top right. It is surrounded by a far larger debris disk that forms an incomplete ellpitical path and is cut off at right. There’s a huge cavity between the star and the disk. The debris disk is shown in shades of light gray. Toward the top and left, there are finer, more discrete points in a range of sizes. The disk appears hazier and smokier at the bottom. The star is bright white at center, with a hazy blue region around it. The background of space is black. The label Artist's Concept appears at lower left.
