Dear Physics of the Cosmos (PhysCOS) community members-

We have important news regarding the 3rd Early Career Workshop organized by NASA’s Physics of the Cosmos Program and the Physics of the Cosmos Program Analysis Group (PhysPAG) Executive Committee.

The workshop is designed to support and empower the next generation of astrophysics leaders and principal investigators. The workshop will take place on 22-24 September 2026 from 1p-4p Eastern (10a-1p Pacific) and it will be fully remote.

This workshop aims to provide insights to early-career scientists about the fascinating work being done in the Physics of the Cosmos Program, explain and demonstrate the tools and opportunities available to them, and answer any questions they may have.

The workshop will include a tutorial on the NASA Astrophysics Data System (ADS) Science Explorer (SciX), talks on upcoming missions including the Compton Spectrometer and Imager (COSI) and the Ultraviolet Explorer (UVEX), updates on NASA programs for students and postdocs, a CV writing mini-workshop, presentations by your fellow early career researchers on exciting science and technology development projects, and much more!

Please register using this Google Form and if desired submit an abstract to present a short talk at the workshop. The deadline for abstracts has been extended to 7 September 2026; talks will be selected and acceptances sent by 11 September 2026. The deadline to register for the workshop is 20 September 2026.
