Dust Storm over the Persian Gulf

Much of northern stretch of the Persian Gulf was obscured by a dust storm on April 17, 2004. This true-color image was acquired by the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) aboard NASA’s Aqua satellite. Earlier that same day, the MODIS instrument aboard the Terra satellite acquired another image of the event.
