Haze and Pollution over China

A widespread pall of grayish haze and pollution obscures the landscape over much of eastern China in this true-color image acquired by the Sea-viewing Wide Field-of-view Sensor (SeaWiFS) on October 22, 2003. The aerosol pollution can be seen blowing eastward over the Pacific Ocean.
