A series of rocky outcroppings are a prominent feature of this Sahara Desert landscape nearthe Terkezi Oasis in the country of Chad.

This image was acquired byLandsat 7's Enhanced Thematic Mapper plus(ETM+) sensor on October 22, 2000. This is a false-color composite image made using nearinfrared, green, and red wavelengths. The image has also been sharpened using the sensor'spanchromatic band.
