The MODIS instrument onboard NASA’s Aqua satellite captured this true-color image of Typhoon Conson on June 8, 2004 at 5:05 UTC. At the time this image was taken, Conson had maximum sustained winds of 75 miles per hour with higher gusts to 88 mph. Conson was moving towards the north-northeast at 10 mph and is expected to bring heavy rains and winds to southeastern Taiwan. This image is available in multiple resolutions, including MODIS’ maximum resolution of 250 meters per pixel.
