Messier 20: Amateur Image vs. Hubble Image

Messier 20 (M20) is a nebula located some 5,000 light-years away in the constellation Sagittarius. M20 is better known as the Trifid Nebula. The left image was taken with an 8-inch Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope using a 0.63x focal reducer and a DSLR Camera. The right image was taken by NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope.
