Messier 33: Amateur Image vs. Hubble Image
Messier 33 (M33) is a spiral galaxy located about three million light-years away in the constellation Triangulum. At half the size of our Milky Way, M33 is the third-largest galaxy in our local group of galaxies. The left image was taken with an 8-inch Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope using a 0.63x focal reducer and a DSLR Camera. The right image was taken by NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope.
