
Kamal Oudrhiri
Cold Atom Lab Project Manager
Kamal Oudrhiri serves as the Cold Atom Lab Project Manager and assistant section manager of Instrument Systems, Microdevices, and Sensors at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). He possesses more than twenty years of experience in technical management, planetary and radio science, end-to-end systems engineering, quantum engineering and science, and mission project operations. His research interests include planetary atmospheric characterization, gravity science, and bistatic radar. Dr. Oudrhiri has held key roles in several NASA missions, including the Mars Exploration Rovers (MER), the international Cassini mission to Saturn, the GRAIL lunar mission, the Mars Science Laboratory (MSL), the Juno mission to Jupiter, the New Horizons mission to Pluto, and the Cold Atom Lab aboard the International Space Station. He has received both individual and group achievement awards from NASA and is a two-time recipient of the People Leadership Award, which recognizes exceptional leadership skills vital to the success of NASA exploration missions. Dr. Oudrhiri holds an M.S. in Electrical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Astronautical Engineering from the University of Southern California.
