Laboratory Analysis of Returned Samples Proposals for Hayabusa2 Starting February 13, 2022

C.16 Laboratory Analysis of Returned Samples (LARS) solicits (among other things) proposals to conduct analytical studies of astromaterials already returned by planetary missions. Samples must be publicly available at least 30 days prior to the submission of a LARS proposal.

Previously, LARS mentioned that Hayabusa2 (H2) samples would soon be available. JAXA has now published its first catalog of H2 samples returned from asteroid Ryugu available for allocation. Proposals to study these H2 samples may be submitted to C.16 LARS in ROSES-2021 starting on February 13, 2022, or to LARS-2022 after the release of ROSES-2022 on February 14, 2022.
