Sol 0649: Mast-Mounted Navigation Camera, Cylindrical Perspective

NASA's Mars rover Curiosity took 12 image pairs in Gale Crater using its mast-mounted Navigation Camera (Navcam) to create this mosaic. The seam-corrected mosaic provides a 360-degree cylindrical perspective projection panorama of the Martian surface suitable for stereo viewing, centered at 30 degrees azimuth (measured clockwise from north). This anaglyph must be viewed with red/blue glasses (red over left eye).  Curiosity took the images on June 04, 2014, Sols 649-650 of the Mars Science Laboratory mission at drive 286, site number 34. The local mean solar time for the image exposures was 3 PM. Each Navcam image has a 45-degree field of view. CREDIT: NASA/JPL-Caltech
