Amendment 12 presents revised text for Appendix A.2, Land-Cover Land-Use Change (LCLUC) which, for this year, is now entitled Land-Cover Land-Use Change for Early Career Scientists and is limited to those who received their Ph.D. after 2005.
Amendment 11 changes the due dates for NOIs to Appendix C.16: Planetary Instrument Definition and Development (PIDD) and Appendix C.19 Astrobiology Science and Technology for Instrument Development (ASTID) to 7/1/2011.
The point of contact for the ROSES Supplemental Outreach and Education Programs has been changed to James Lochner
Amendment 10 presents the revised text for A.34, Earth Science Applications: Water Resources. Note that the due dates have been deferred: Notices of Intent to propose are now due July 1, 2011 and proposals are due September 30, 2011.
The budget information in the summary table of key information in Appendixes A.29, A.30 & A.37 has been clarified to specify that these are per year budget estimates.
Amendment 9 adds the requirements for submitting proposals using short duration orbital platforms, including CubeSats, to Section IV(h) of the ROSES-2011 Summary of Solicitation.
Proposal due dates for Appendixes A.4, A.33, & A.35 are TBD until Amendments presenting the final text.
Proposal due dates for Appendixes A.4 Terrestrial Ecology, A.33 Earth Science Applications: Disasters & A.35 Earth Science Applications: Fires and Wildfires are TBD until Amendments presenting the final text.
Amendment 8: Appendix A.31, The DESDynI Science Definition Team solicitation, is temporarily suspended pending release of a subsequent amendment
Appendix A.31, The DESDynI Science Definition Team (SDT) solicitation in ROSES 2011 is temporarily suspended pending release of a subsequent amendment no later than June 7, 2011, with a proposal due date of September 7th and a focus upon an L-Band SAR only mission.
Amendment 7: Proposal Due Dates delayed for Appendix D.2 the Astrophysics Data Analysis program and Appendix C.2 the Cosmochemistry program
In order to give time to proposers who are without power because of tornadoes the proposal due dates for Appendix D.2 the Astrophysics Data Analysis program and Appendix C.2 the Cosmochemistry program are delayed until Friday, May 20, 2011.
The point of contact for A.30 Impacts of Climate Variability and Change on NASA Centers and Facilities has been changed to Tom Wagner.
