In southwestern Oregon, several large fires continue to tax firefighters and residents in communities in the Illinois River valley area in the Klamath Mountains. This image was acquired on July 31, 2002, by the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on the Terra satellite.
