Community Science (Ad ASTRA) Workshop [Near Capacity] - In-Person Registration
Dear Astrophysics Strategic Technology & Research Accelerator (ASTRA) community members-
The Community Science (Ad ASTRA) Workshop is fast approaching. The workshop is near its critical mass for in-person registrations due to constraints on physical space. In-person registration will be limited by venue capacity to about 250 people.
Please respond to this email if you registered for in-person attendance and are no longer able to attend or would like to switch your registration to a virtual participant. The following information is required to properly update your registration:
- First + Last name
- Email used for registration
Please include “REGISTRATION UPDATE” in the subject line of the email response.
For workshop attendees planning to attend in person, there is a room block at the Pasadena Hotel & Pool, which is located at the corner of Colorado Boulevard and South Mentor Avenue. This hotel is about 0.8 miles from the workshop venue. Please use this link to book your room at the special workshop rate. The reservation deadline is August 12, 2026. For information on other hotels in the Pasadena area, as well as other local information, please see the workshop website.
We understand the workshop has garnered significant interest from the community. At this time, if you previously registered as a virtual participant, you cannot switch your registration type to “in-person” given the constraints on venue capacity.
Please note: plenary sessions will be broadcast online and will be made available after the meeting. Working splinter sessions will not be available virtually (in-person attendance only).
Wishing you the best,
Dr Ron Gamble
