Titan (Cassini)

A close-up of Saturn's moon Titan as imaged by the Cassini spacecraft. Against a black background is a large, fuzzy sphere. Its north and south regions extend beyond the frame. The left side of the moon is roughly illuminated, revealing a slightly uneven yellow surface. The right side of the moon is shrouded in darkness.

Hazy layers of hydrocarbons enshroud Saturn’s moon, Titan. On its surface, methane rivers flow into tar-edged seas. This image was captured by the Cassini spacecraft in 2017.
