Webb’s First Images: Dawn of a New Era

On July 12, 2022, the first full-color images and spectra from the James Webb Space Telescope were released to the public and astronomical community. With footage from the the Space Telescope Science Institute, NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, the European Space Agency, the Canadian Space Agency, Northrop Grumman, and other locations around the world, this video recaps highlights from that day as well as the weeks and months leading up to it.
