Fires in Central and Southern Africa

Scores of fires continue to burn in the Democratic Republic of Congo (top) and Angola (bottom left). At the top of the image are the tropical forests of the Congo River Basin, and south of them are tropical savannas. Lake Tanganyika is at upper right.
