This view of the fires in the western United States, collected on June 10, 2002, by the Sea-Viewing Wide Field of View Sensor (SeaWiFS) showsseveral of the larger smoke plumes as wellas a band of smoke over Nebraska and theDakotas that appears to be getting pulled into a low pressure system centered over northernMontana.
