Early-season bushfires continue to burn north of Western Australia's Great Sandy Desert (left) and in the Northern Territory (right). This image from the Moderate-resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer on the Terra satellite, acquired on April 27, 2002, shows dozens of fires (red dots).
