Messier 74: Amateur Image vs. Hubble Image
Messier 74 (M74) is a spiral galaxy located about 32 million light-years away in the constellation Pisces. Hubble captured this image of the face-on spiral galaxy at visible and infrared wavelengths. The left image was taken with an 8-inch Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope using a 0.63x focal reducer and a DSLR Camera. The right image was taken by NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope.
