Photomap of Pluto
Until the New Horizons flyby in 2015, this 2010 Hubble Space Telescope image was our best view of Pluto. Hubble's view wasn't sharp enough to distinguish individual features, but it revealed a complex-looking and variegated world with different-colored terrain. Hubble observations were used to help plan the New Horizons flyby.
