A series of 5 images in blocks that "zoom in" until they end in the Hubble image of Caldwell 94. They start with an image of distant gas, dust and stars and each exhibits progressively more detail until the Hubble image displays large, individual white and reddish stars.

C94 Zoom-In

This series of images “zooms” into the Hubble image of the Jewel Box cluster (Caldwell 94). A box in each of the first four images (all taken from the ground) shows the area covered by the next image. The picture in the top left was taken with a 35-mm camera. The next image is from the Digitized Sky Survey 2. Next is an image from the 2.2-meter telescope at La Silla Observatory in Chile. The left image on the bottom was taken by the Very Large Telescope at Paranal Observatory in Chile. The image at bottom right was taken by the Wide Field and Planetary Camera 2 on Hubble.
