Amendment 53: New Opportunity: A.65 FireSense Implementation Team

A.65 FireSense Project is an effort focused on delivering NASA’s unique Earth science and technological capabilities to operational fire management agencies, striving towards measurable improvement in U.S. wildland fire management. This program element solicits proposals from individuals to contribute to these four FireSense use cases described in Section 3 of the text: Pre-fire, Active fire, Post-fire, and Air-quality. Selected principal investigators will become members of the FireSense Implementation (FSI) Team. Following selection, the FSI Team will work together to further develop and design the FireSense use cases and support activities under the FireSense implementation areas.

ROSES-2023 Amendment 53 releases final text and due dates for A.65 FireSense Implementation (FSI) Team. Notices of intent are requested by December 11, 2023, and proposals are due January 18, 2024.

On or about October 11, 2023, this Amendment to the NASA Research Announcement "Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences (ROSES) 2023" (NNH23ZDA001N) will be posted on the NASA research opportunity homepage at https://solicitation.nasaprs.com/ROSES2023 and will appear on SARA's ROSES blog at: https://science.nasa.gov/researchers/sara/grant-solicitations/roses-2023/
