ROSES-23 Amendment 9: B.2 Heliophysics Supporting Research Revised Text and Due Dates.

The Heliophysics Supporting Research (HSR) program element (B.2) supports investigations of significant magnitude that are of relevance to the scientific and strategic goals of NASA Heliophysics. B.2 HSR is intended to support forward-looking research that is on the forefront of Heliophysics science, and which will help motivate and enable the next generation of Heliophysics missions.

ROSES-23 Amendment 9 releases amended text for B.2 HSR. The scope of Special Topic 2 Investigations has been broadened to include studies of plasma signatures of space debris beyond LEO, such as the near-Sun or planetary environments, see Section 1.1.2.2. Clarifications were also made to Sections 1.1, 1.2, 2.1, and 2.4. The points of contact for this program have changed. New text is in bold and deleted text is struck through. The due dates have been reset: Step-1 proposals are due April 25, 2023, and Step-2 proposals are due June 23, 2023.

On or about March 24 2023, this Amendment to the NASA Research Announcement "Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences (ROSES) 2023" (NNH23ZDA001N) will be posted on the NASA research opportunity homepage at https://solicitation.nasaprs.com/ROSES2023

Questions concerning B.2 HSR may be directed to Arik Posner at arik.posner@nasa.gov.
