Amendment 5: A.7 Biodiversity and Ecological Conservation Final Text and Due Dates

A.7 Biodiversity and Ecological Conservation solicits proposals that address either basic research (see Section 4.1 "Researching Scale") or applications proposals in an Earth Action framework (see Section 4.2 "Scaling Projects for Actual Biodiversity Conservation"). All proposals must combine satellite remote sensing (see Section 5.1) and in-situ biodiversity observations (see Section 5.2). For basic research proposals, the goal is to further understanding of the operational and/or the theoretical implications of combining observations at different spatial scales to further understanding of the composition of life on Earth and how it changes over time. For applications proposals in an Earth Action framework, the goal is to increase the scale of existing NASA Earth observation-derived biodiversity conservation decision support capabilities, in concert with actual end users. Scaling in this latter sense includes an increase in the geography of use, the breadth of the user community, and/or the thematic areas of use.

ROSES-2024 Amendment 5 releases final text and due dates for A.7 Biodiversity Biodiversity and Ecological Conservation. Notices of Intent are requested by May 13, 2024, and the due date for proposals is June 13, 2024.

On or about March 15, 2024, this Amendment to the NASA Research Announcement "Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences (ROSES) 2024" (NNH24ZDA001N) will be posted on the NASA research opportunity homepage at https://solicitation.nasaprs.com/ROSES2024.
