Amendment 23: D.3 NuSTAR General Observer Program Changes to Joint Observations and POC

The NuSTAR General Observer (GO) Program, Section 4 of D.3 Combined General Investigator General Observer Program, solicits proposals for basic research relevant to the NuSTAR mission. NuSTAR Cycle 12 will commence on or about June 1, 2026, and last for a nominal period of 12 months, subject to mission extension after the 2025 NASA Astrophysics Senior Review. The total amount of time allocated to General Observers during NuSTAR Cycle 12 is expected to be 11.7 Ms (73% of the total available observing time), of which 8.5 Ms will be allocated to NuSTAR observations selected through this program element.

ROSES-2025 Amendment 23 announces three changes tothe NuSTAR General Observer (GO) Program, Section 4 of D.3 Combined General Investigator General Observer Program: joint observations with XRISM have been added, joint observations with NICER have been removed, and the Technical POC for NuSTAR has been updated. New text is in bold and deleted text is struck through. The due date for Phase-1 proposals (via ARK RPS) remains January 29, 2026.
