Southeast of Lake Malawi, numerous fires (red dots) were burning in the Zambezia and Nampula regions of the African country of Mozambique. The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on the Aqua satellite captured this true-color image on November 4, 2002.
