Corrections to A.9 User-Centered Applications with Large Earth Foundation Models
A.9 User-Centered Applications with Large Earth Foundation Models (EA FM) supports development of decision-support tools based on Prithvi-Earth Observation (EO) and Prithvi-Weather and Climate (WxC), large Earth foundation models developed jointly by NASA and IBM. Projects must advance the development of functional applications for a specific end user and decision-making need and incorporate end user feedback throughout the project’s duration.
On or about November 19, 2025, the following changes were made to A.9 EA FM: The planning date for start of investigation in the summary table of key information in Section 10 has been changed to the ROSES standard 6 months after the proposal due date. New text is in bold and deleted text is struck through. The due dates remain unchanged: The pre-proposal webinar will occur November 24, 2025, optional Notices of Intent are requested by December 4, 2025, and the new proposal due date is January 9, 2026.
