The Sense of Place Series: Indigenous Perspectives on Earth and Sky is a speaker series featuring indigenous knowledge holders sharing their expertise on Earth and space sciences. In this 1 hour and 48 minute video Manuela Well-Off-Man, art historian and native art curator, and Mallery Quetawki, artist, discuss their perspectives on indigenous art. Manuela Well-Off-Man is the chief curator at the IAIA Museum of Contemporary Native Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico and discusses a powerful exhibit that addresses the environmental injustice that indigenous people experience. Mallery Quetawki talks about how she uses art to communicate science to indigenous communities. This talk was given on January 19, 2022.
