In-Person Overflow Rooms, Webinar/Slack Sign-up, and Talk Upload Instructions
18 August 2026
Dear Astrophysics Strategic Technology & Research Accelerator (ASTRA) community members,
In-Person Overflow Accomodations
In an effort to better accommodate all in-person registrants, the local organizers for the community science (ASTRA) workshop have secured overflow spaces for additional viewing of the plenary sessions. We ask that if your plans have changed and you would like to switch to a virtual registration please let us know.
Webinar Registration
The workshop will be live streamed via a Zoom webinar. All remote attendees must register in advance. Note that even if you have registered for virtual attendance, you will also need to register for the Plenary talks to receive the Zoom info. In-person attendees may also register in case they need to attend remotely on any day of the workshop.
Use this link to register for the webinar: https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_W7IQoy-5QTySEqI6gqM6pg.
Once you have registered, you will receive a follow-up email with your individual link to join the webinar. Daily reminders will be sent one hour before the webinar begins.
Slack Invitation
We invite all workshop registrants to our dedicated Slack Workspace. The invitation link to join can be found here:

The same email used for workshop registration is not required. Please choose whichever email is most convenient to join the slack workspace.
Talk Upload Instructions
Lastly, we ask that all oral presenters please upload their talks by August 30th 11:59pm ET to our google drive folder: https://drive.google.com/drive/u/1/folders/1PbVOTZdqWoMWFQoJW_fq2zW1iLRG1Sjg.
Please make sure your talks are formatted in either PDF or PowerPoint (.ppt, .pptx) and use the following naming convention when saving your presentation; Session Name_Last Name_Presentation Title. Note, MacOS users should convert their Keynote presentations to PowerPoint if audio/video is needed and PDF format otherwise.
As a reminder, the link to the updated agenda can be found here: https://conference.ipac.caltech.edu/community2026/page/breakout-sessions to make sure you have uploaded your talk to the correct folder (i.e., day 1, day 2, day 3).
