Fires in Ontario
June 22, 2003

Smoke continued to pour from numerous fires across central Canada on June 21 (bottom) and June 22 (top), 2003. Across the lush green, lake-sprinkled landscape, several plumes of gray smoke are visible. On June 21, they are blowing northward, but by June 22, they have begun heading east. At far left in the images is Lake Winnipeg.
